Today I finished my December Daily album. There was a happy dance. :)
In no way is it still December but I don't care. I have an album full of Christmas memories that I absolutely adore. The journaling on Day 13 explains my thoughts pretty well.
Journaling reads: Today I have been thinking a lot about this December Daily. No doubt it is a big undertaking and many people might consider this year's attempt a failure given that I'm not sure even a single day has been scrapped on the day, but not me. Although next year I will set up the album and pages ahead of time, I will only aim to blog about the day on the day. If I scrap it then great, if I scrap it later great. That isn't part of why I am finding it so wonderful. In the past I have tried different things, different tasks each day, to count down to Christmas Day. I think really they just add stress. This album hasn't been about extra, big things, just stopping, noticing, reflecting and enjoying those little things, those passing moments or thoughts that make this season so very wonderful.
I did write down some thoughts throughout the month but not every day. So my aim for next Christmas is to blog every day, combining the photos and words so they will be authentic and of the moment, ready for when I can sit down and play with paper.
Here is the rest of the album.

The Christmas manifesto is free download by Shimelle available here.
The twinkling lights page is the last I completed, all of about 30 minutes ago. It makes my happy, as do twinkling lights. :) This morning I rearranged my letter stickers and this October Afternoon set ended up at the front. I was reaching for a single colour pack till I saw these which, despite really liking, I had barely used. It's amazing the impact going through and reorganising your supplies can have.
I didn't want to end the album on Christmas Day so added a divided page protector and included little photos and notes for the last few days of December.
And there you have it - my first ever December Daily album, fully completed. I don't thing I could have fitted any more pages in there. :)
I am incredibly pleased this is done. It's my first ever mini book/album and my first completed theme album. I absolutely love it. I've always been Christmas nuts and now I have an album that shows and tells exactly why. Definitely going to do one again next Christmas but with 242 days to go until December, I'm also looking forward to putting all my Christmas supplies away for a while. :)
