This page hasn't photographed that well - the page protector is a little dirty - but I do like this page. Very Ali E inspired. :)
They are the lights on my balcony by the way.
This day I had an hour to fill before meeting friends to go climbing so I wandered around the city, seeing decorations, the gingerbread village and the Myer windows.
One of my favourite Melbourne Christmas traditions is the Myer Christmas windows. This year the theme is 'Santa Claus is Coming to Town.'
That photo of Nicole and I was taken in November on our annual Christmas shopping day. That's when I first saw the windows this year. (I avoid them earlier so I can see them with Nicole!) To me, our shopping day is a Christmas event and this photo deserves inclusion in the album. I've written the November date on the little journaling spot and added some photos of the windows that I took on this December day.
I didn't really take any photos Monday or Tuesday this week so decided to cut into the packaging of a present I ordered online.
I really like including little snippets of story in the bottom section of these Ali E overlays. Things that I wouldn't create a whole page about but are lovely extra little details.
I just counted up and I have 9 days complete. That's more than I thought! There are another 6 pages (single sides, not the spreads) that are finished or very close to it.
Last year I didn't finish my December Daily until April. This time I'm hoping for a completed album by the end of January. With a weekend camping, a few days away at the beach and lots of packing needed as I moved on the 3rd of February, that might be a tall order! We'll see!
This was my second post of the day so you might want to scroll down to see more. :)
