Although I haven't blogged about scrapbook much recently - at least it certainly feels that way - I have been scrapping.
I'm currently working on 5 different projects. Actually, that probably explains the lack of scrapping posts lately - lots of small progress. My mind has been whirling with ideas. ;)
It was really daunting picking up this project again - I hadn't even opened it in months! It took me a while to work out what I had previously planned, sorting out pages, topics and memoribilia.
I've had a couple of ‘oh, my goodness’ moments when solutions to problems suddenly become obvious. Back in January, when last working on this album, I was struggling to work out where it include photos from a dinner with friends. I didn't seem to have room, short of adding another insert which I wasn't keen to do. The other day I was flipping through the pages when I suddenly realised I could turn a completed page over, moving it from the front of the page protector to the back. A ridiculously easy solution and now another page is done. ;)
For Christmas Eve I wanted to include my first time baking bread and a trip to the beach with my sister. But, a calendar page had me struggling to think how that would work. Once I realised that I didn't have to include all the photos I had blogged - one photo of Jenna at the beach told the story perfectly - I was set. The page started materialising, in my head at least. ;)
There is still many, many pages to go and next Christmas seems to be approaching rapidly but, I'm enthusiastic again!
SCRAPBOOK ON THE ROAD - HONG KONG /THAILAND
The structure of this album is finally finished with all the photos added. Now I'm going back and adding fun details - journaling and a little embellishment.
This mini is very fat - I'm not good at culling photos! - but I'm getting there.
WEEK IN THE LIFE
I have finished creating a cover for my photobook!
Now I'm working on collating all those snippets of information I recorded back in April and left scattered in email, text messages, Facebook...
The Sunday night after we got home from the snow, my guy commented that I’d need to blog the trip, include it in my Year of Weekends album and add it to my Appreciating Winter book. Apart from my personal emphasis that I’m choosing to, and don’t need to, he was exactly right. ;)
Maybe I can't scrapbook while I'm at work, but I can still plan. ;)
YEAR OF WEEKENDS
Finally we have my year-long project, my Year of Weekends minibook. Just these last two weekends to be added to that mini at the moment - it's basically up to date.
That's the 5 projects that have my head whirling with ideas. Love that feeling.
