Surprise, surprise, I have some more December Daily pages to share with you. ;)
I love that I'm getting this done, particularly given that this December is only a scary 2 and a bit months away! Hopefully I wont be Christmassed out by the time December gets here! (I haven't put on Christmas carols yet though, so I think I'll be okay.)
December 11 - I really like this photo with my Christmas tree sticking out the car window. Because the photo needed reprinting (too dark the first time) I decided to add text directly to the photo. I like this effect - I'm just not normally organised enough to do it!
This is a close up the felt ribbon I added when I was assembling my album. I slipped it in then sewed the page protector, creating two pockets. I've used it twice in this album (as well as last year's) and I really like the effect. :)
This page gave me fits! I cut out and added the 'Be Jolly' word art back in January. However, there was an additional thin circle that I stuck down around it.
Oh, found a picture for you.
I stuck that thin circle down and, of course, got glue everywhere. So, I decided to add more Glossy Accents on top to make it seem intentional. And I hated it.
Probably not a coincidence that was the last photo of my DD I took before setting it aside for months!
I wasn't willing to give up on the page or concept so finally had the idea to cover the background, and glue, in patterned paper. It was a bit fiddly but it worked! A little white pen to add detail and finally I'm happy! :)
These cards (they are on two pages I'm showing today) were given out at the train station, with Christmas operating times on the back. Each one has a Christmas phase, using different station names. I think they are so clever! (Hope they so something else fun this year.)
I cut a background with my Silhouette Cameo for interest, backing a few of the holes with contrasting patterned paper. My gosh, I had so much trouble choosing that blue colour - I went back and forth on the colour for ages!
December 20 - The base of this page was a file folder shape I had created from cardstock. I didn't know what I wanted to include on for this day, on either side. I also didn't where in this album I could include the Christmas card from my parents. Once it occured to me I could cut the file folder shorter, it all fell into place. :)
December 21 - Here is the other page using that felt ribbon. It's a simple page using instagram photos and I love it! ;)
Photos, patterned paper that is a support and doesn't dominate, a little journaling and a couple of embellishment accents. It seems totally me!
December 22 - I couldn't decide which way I wanted to go - a pretty photo of wrapped present or the 'more real' waiting to be wrapped. So, after umming and ahhing, I ended up with both. ;)
I hope I haven't Christmassed you out yet, because I'll be posting more December Daily pages soon. I have to finish them first, but I'm on a roll! ;)
