Anyone feeling Christmassy? Because I have some more December Daily pages to share. :)
Day 12: I started with lime green cardstock as the base of this page. I tried covering up only portions of it but it wasn't working for me and needed to go. This is a shade of green I adore.
Note to self - don't use lime green cardstock ever again.
And here is the page as it appears in my DD:
Day 15: Both sides of this spread are newly complete. The calendar pages tended to stump me initially, but I quite like how they turned out - a bit of breathing room in a bold, photo-heavy album.
Here's the right side:
I really like this photo and the sprinkling of Christmas it shows. I don't live there any more, which I think makes it more special. :)
The words and pink I actually added back in December. I don't mind not finishing the album till months after December (I would like to be quicker but am not really fussed) as long as I can manage to capture these snippets of 'real' that would otherwise be lost.
Day 24: I love the impact of the text on this page. I think it helps demonstrate that I was proud of myself. That I amazed myself. ;)
And here it is in the album:
Day 27: Two new pages here. I'm not hugely fond of the left page - I just think it's missing some oomph. But, I'm pleased to have included a photo of my presents. Although it might seem a tad materialistic - I do really love presents ;) - I think it's a great snapshot of what I'm interested in, what's going on in my life at that point of time.
And on the right:
I had a few photos from this night I considered including, but settled on this one. I love her expression, although I have a sneaking suspicion my sister will not be as fond. It's also a good reminder for me - to not always zoom close and cut out surroundings. The fairy lights hanging over the door, the photo of our Gran and wedding photo of grandparents sitting on the window ledge. Love.
I am getting so close to being done - I think I only have 5 days still to finish, although Christmas Day has a few pages of it's own.
But, I'm sick of it.
I'm struggling to come up with ideas and lacking enthusiasm. I'm thinking I really should work on my December Daily, rather than wanting to.
So, I'm setting it aside for a while to work on something else. It's not like I don't have other projects half complete! ;) This December is still 2+ months away, so there's time.
I scrapbook because I enjoy it and believe memorykeeping enhances my awareness and appreciation of life. It's not a publishment or something I have to do. It doesn't hurt to be reminded of that every so often. :)
