When I heard my morning radio show hosts discussing how they had enjoyed reading The Great Gatsby when they were younger, it seemed like the perfect candidate to help me tick off a 30 While 30 goal -
18. Read a famous work of literature.
I added the book to my Christmas wish list and was lucky enough to unwrapped it on Christmas morning. (Thanks Mum and Dad!)
The book was certainly approachable, not bogged down with endless detail and description, but while I didn't mind the story, I didn't love it. Honestly, I'm not sure I understand why it is such a classic!
Regardless, I'm pleased I can say I've read at least one famous literary work and I'm motivated to try some more. Definitely not ready for War and Peace yet though. ;) Any suggestions?
