Day 24: Carols by Candlelight.
This page was inspired by an Ann-Marie Morris layout for Basic Grey. Love the blocky design with a few curves to break it up.
I love this photo. I printed it out big, about 12 x 8 inches, and spread it across the two pages.
And this is still Day 24. No need to wonder why it takes me so long to finish my December Daily! ;)
For a little bit of visual calm I added a vellum insert, with a strip of washi tape on the edge and a matching banner sticker on each side.
Day 25: Christmas morning.
And the spread.
More Christmas morning, left.
And a little 3 pocket insert on the right, so I could include lots of photos.
Here's that spread.
The back of the pocket insert includes a layered chipboard piece.
On the right I used an Ali Edward's overlay to hold a family photo, as well as a small outtake photo. This is the third year I've taken a family photo in the lounge room, surrounded by the aftermath of opening present. Definitely a tradition I want to continue. :)
And the spread.
A Kelly Goree layout was the inspiration of this page.
On the left will be a page of journaling, with a simple embellishment or two. There are a couple of stories from Christmas Day that I don't want to forget. :)
Still Christmas Day, but at least we've progressed as far as lunch! I used another Ali Edward's template to hold these two photos.
On the right I sewed a pocket to hold some cards and labels from Christmas Day. The smallest of them, which I thought might get lost down the bottom, I stapled to the front.
So another two days of my December Daily are (almost) complete! I don't want to count just how many pages they took up. :) But, with only Days 26, 27 and 29 to go (I think), I am so close to done.
There will be celebrating.
