On Wednesday my brother-in-law-to-be Dan turned 30. He was very pleased with his remote control car present, and I'm pleased with how his card turned out. :)
I cut the number 30 into a pennant shape, which I raised on popdots. If I'm making a personalised card (and I generally am because I'm not organised enough to have a pre-made stash of them!) I like to include the person's name so they know it's made-just-for-you. I stamped the sentiment with my new tiny alphabet set onto a wood veneer banner. Love using new product - makes me feel better about buying it! I managed to misspell birthday, but I'm claiming it adds to the rustic charm. ;) I added wood veneer stars to tie in with the banner piece.
Dan's having a big birthday party tonight, of the dress-up variety. The theme: come as something that reminds you of your childhood. I've been assigned to camera duty so I should have some good photos for my December Daily entry for today.
Haven't made much progress on my DD album, but I'm jotting down sketches and thoughts for each day. I'm hoping to get a chance to work on it this afternoon, but I need to finish making my wig for tonight first. ;)
