December 12: I found a present under the Christmas tag, labelled with a gift tage in BoyF's unique style, and we went shopping for Christmas presents.
The 'Making A List' page is a free printable from A Pair of Pears.
Right: To match the hunk-a-chunk-a-wood gift tag, I chose a wood veneer card, wrapping it in baking twine. I framed a photo with a Studio Calico frame and used an alphabet stamp set to accentuate a phrase of journaling.
December 13: An evening of Christmas baking.
Left: I intended for the two larger photos to fill the pockets, however they printed out smaller, leaving a few gaps that needed filling. I added the pink band to the top of one photo and backed the other with patterned paper.
Journaling reads: A December Friday night. At Mike's request, Gingerbread Biscuits. Assortment of trees, stars, gingerbread men and women...teddy bears, giraffes, penguins, a two-headed bear...
Right: I added an envelope with Basic Grey Attach-Me stickers, printing a photo to slip inside, big enough to cover the envelope window.
I also printed out the recipes that I'd used that night, for the Gingerbread Biscuits and Chocolate Mousse Cake. I think I might print off a couple more that I used for Christmas Day and slip them in there too.
I'm pretty pleased with how the album is coming together, and the progress that I've made. Whenever I look at the calendar and realise that December is almost finished, I remind myself I've completed pages for half the days of December and that's well further than I was this time last year.
It's just a matter of perspective. ;)
