Yep, I'm still working on my December Daily, and I'm still not finished. Lucky that I enjoy the process! ;)
December 17 - I made the calendar cut on my Silhouette, backing it with a woodgrain patterned paper and stamping the dates in white ink.
And the spread.
December 18 - An after excursion to see the Christmas lights.
Left - I created the twinkle word art with the Silhouette, finally understanding something about the compound path feature. It is cut from Silhouette's printable gold foil.
Right - The black frame is a piece I'd premade for the album and worked well to house my favourite photos from the night.
December 19 - Christmas cards, Christmas bowls and icecream.
Left - I only had phone photos of my Christmas cards, having worked on them at work, but it's better than nothing. :) I wanted to use a different patterned paper top and bottom after liking a layout with that technique on Pinterest.
Right - Studio Calico and Basic Grey used on this page. Journaling reads 'An after dinner walk for icecream, with a stop at the house of the crazy lights.'
December 20 - An after work Christmas shopping trip in the city, with dinner and drinks before we headed home. I had a few random photos of the night so I created a little collage for a 3x4 card. On the right, I cut down an old strip of patterned paper (Cosmo Cricket I think) and added it with Basic Grey attach-me stickers.
I also wanted to include my year in review that Facebook created. If there was an easy way to copy thr information I didn't find it, so I took a lot of screen shots and layered them back together. The text is quite small, but readable. Glad I took the time to add it in. :)
December 21 - Didn't realise I'd added the wrong date to this page until I was uploading the photo. Oops! Since fixed though. The right side is the front of a card from a real estate office. Not many things include summer with it's Christmas message so I nabbed it to include in the album as soon as we received the card.
Left - I stole this photo from BoyF's Facebook, adding some thoughts from the day. I surprised him with his favourite 'Christmas movie' Die Hard. ;)
December 22 - A family Christmas celebration.
Left - I created a three-photo collage in Photoshop, but after printing it was just too busy. I added patterned paper and the number straight over the photo.
Right - I added wood veneer letters (from a Studio Calico kit) directly on top of the photo. Group family photos are a rare occurrence for us. I created the journaling card with patterned paper, cardstock, a transparency piece from Basic Grey and some enamel dots.
December 1 - 22 complete! You might think I'm incredibly close to finished, but I carry this album through to the 31st. Oih. Why is at again? ;)
