It's been a week of birthday celebrations here, as my Mum turned 60. I'm not sure she'll love that I'm telling the world but regardless, Happy Birthday Mum!
I used my Silhouette to make a detailed, personalised card that didn't take long at all. The hardest part - getting the gems to stick to glittered cardstock.
I arranged my words into a rectangle shape, ungrouped the words and dragged the length of individual letters from 'happy' and 'birthday' so that they met with the '60' shape. I offset the '60' and cut it from glitter cardstock. I created a rectangle the same size as the design to be the back of the card and welded it all together.
After cutting I folded the card, trimmed some white cardstock to go inside for contrast and added the glitter '60' with pop dots for dimension.
Simple to create, but Mum seemed impressed. :)
