December 17: It was an everyday kind of day, so I decided to journal about not feeling particularly Christmassy. I added a wrapper from a Ghiradelli Peppermint Bark Square, purchased while we were in the US but enjoyed all month, and the flying Santa was an advertising flyer from a travel agent that I cut down to size. I also included an envelope from a Christmas card, managing to sneak in the stamp price, because hello married name.
To back the ornament diecut from the page before, I stamped a phrase repetitively; just like patterned paper without needing to fussy cut. On top I layered vellum and a brad.
December 18: Dad and I went to the movies and saw Nightcrawler, which I think I enjoyed but it was a weird movie. I included my movie ticket and accented the patterned paper with a few red gems.
December 19: An evening spent wrapping presents. To create the decorative card, I cut out the circle design on my Silhoutte, then backed and layered the circles with chipboard, patterned paper, stickers, wood veneer and a badge. It was fiddly to make, but nice to have fun with some products.
It was only as I was finishing this page I realised I'd included just one photo over all three days. Post-honeymoon, I think I was just less likely to pick up my camera this Christmas.
