Listening for the sounds of Milly stirring on the baby monitor. She's asleep, Mike's at work and I'm enjoying the quiet.
Watching nothing as I haven't yet located the TV remote control amidst my messy desk.
Preparing for a middle of the night feeding.
Hoping for a good night's sleep. Last week we implemented a new sleep routine - moving Milly from bassinet to cot, from our room to the nursery and falling asleep in her bed instead of my arms. After one difficult day. she has been going wonderfully. We settle her in the cot and walk out of the room. Maybe we need to return a time or two to resettle her, but more often that not she'll just doze off to sleep. However, Milly is our little Snuffleupagus at the moment and her blocked nose is waking her up multiple times a night. Thankfully she is simple to resettle, but I've still been having to get out of bed many times a night.
Drinking a cup of chai tea.
Wearing ugg boots, a new top and pajama pants and a ratty old cardigan. Yesterday after little miss's two naps were only 45 minutes long, I was going a little stir crazy at home so we went shopping. Among my purchases was a lovely new cardigan but, for the moment at least, it's reserved for out of the house wear only.
Reading books again. Most recently, Me Before You which I really enjoyed and I will definitely NOT be seeing the movie at the cinema. I shed more than a few tears.
Remembering to take weekly photos of Milly in the big chair. She's 19 weeks old now and is almost managing to sit up straight in the chair on her own.
Working on another two Day in the Life projects. I documented April 26th and June 24th and it's amazing how much has changed over that two month period. Then I look back on the day I recorded when Milly was only 3 weeks old and she looks so tiny and it seems like so long ago.
