After Milly is in bed and we've finished dinner, I have about two hours each night for some 'me time'. I can watch TV or read, scrapbook, blog, but there only ever seems enough time (and mental energy) for one of those things. There are blog posts I want to write, photos I want to share, projects I want to complete... At least being on the Simple Scrapper creative team provides some obligation and deadlines to get a few my stories recorded and in albums.
This layout is based on a sketch template from Simple Scrapper's August membership collection, and it's just the sort of layout that I want to be making. It's full of story detail and photos, with a clean design that has a touch of interest and whimsy. I've even used some dimensional adhesive, enamel dots and touch of stamping, all supplies that I turn to time after time.
Feel free to admire how perfectly the journaling is printed on the lines of that journaling card. I've pretty proud of myself for that! ;) The dot pattern and journaling card are from this Project Life core kit. The rounded corners required some trimming and finessing, but I think pulling everything closer led to a more dynamic design. The little bird is from this ephemera pack. It reminded me of a chicken and Milly likes chicken. Poor little bird. ;)
