We are into the second week of January now and my December Daily album is not quite half finished. (I document through to the 31st.) And I don't care!
Those pages that I spend ages on, umming and ahhing, but eventually turn out better than I imagined are totally worth it. I just wish they all turned out like that. ;)
For Day 10 I wanted to include a couple of text messages I received from my sister. The cute Christmas card she sent arrived around that day so I ended up using that as my page base.
To add the card to the album, I punched holes in a piece of transparency and sewed it to the back of the card, right near the fold.
Inside, my sister wrote that she picked the card especially, as we both like pompoms. So I added a photo she had sent me of presents under the tree, wrapped in pompoms. :)
That little grouping - two pieces of washi tape, a date stamp and a photo - is so simple. And I adore it. I need to remember, often less is better!
I originally sewed a starburst design on a piece of cardstock to use as the base for this day, but it just wasn't working for me. When I abandoned that - I think it will work well on a later day - the design fell together quickly.
I used a little paper bag to hold another text message and photo.
Day 11:
I do love this page, and my Silhouette Cameo. :)
Down the bottom I have included a friend's Facebook status update that says Delanie just spat cider in my face. For the record, cider + ill-timed cough = opps!
Love December Daily. Love it.
