With the help of Taubman's Turquoise Mist (and the building of another shed), my future scraproom has been transformed from this to this:
There is still a ways to go - the doors and trim need to be painted, the carpet is being replaced, we need to choose and hang curtains, not to mention actually moving - but it's an improvement. ;)
In the meantime, I wanted to work out how the room would function. There is a lot of furniture we are planning to use in there and I wasn't sure it would all fit!
An online room design program, a few measurements and I now feel like I have it all straight in my head. I even have a few layout options.
With my big Ikea Expedit bookcase down the middle of the room, I call this next one the 'We've been living together too long and I need some space' option. ;)
I found this room planner to be really good. From House to Home, you enter the dimensions of the room, then select furniture and features that you can resize snd recolour to your specifications. You can even pick two points on the plan and it will calculate that measurement for you. Although printing or saving required membership (I'm not sure if that is paid or not) taking screenshots was easy and free. :)
I think Option One is my current favourite. Any thoughts?
