A few months ago, not long before we headed off for Japan, my friend Nicole and I spent the day planting trees. It was the first time participating in National Tree Planting Day for both of us, but this was a well organised event with everything laid out and instructions on arrival.
We planted tiny trees and a wildflower grove, hammering in stakes and a cage for each planting. I'd like to return in a few years and see how it's changed,
Among the first to arrive and the last to leave, we planted for hours, definitely earning our free lunch and the right to tick of this 30 Before Marriage goal:
