December 11: We arrived home (finally) to find our house had been Christmasified! A friend had decorated with tinsel, berry sprigs, and candy canes, even leaving us a gingerbread house and gingerbread cookies decorated to look like us. A very sweet surprise to come home too. :)
This is a 6x8 page that will back this Simple Scrapper layout about meeting my new nephew, another December 11 page. I used an older Ali Edwards template at the basis, filling in the spots with patterned paper and photos. The 'joy' was cut with my Silhouette Cameo from vellum and adhered with spray adhesive.
December 11 and 12: I returned back to work, after about 7 weeks off, on Friday. I had time to clear through the hundreds of emails that had built up before heading off to a work Christmas lunch. Not a bad day at work! ;)
By using shapes in two of the 3x4 pockets, I've created two see-through sections. The photo collage was created with a free template from Paislee Press and, although it is hard to see in the photo, the vellum 'december' frame on the number card is a Paislee Press cut file.
December 13: Mike and I purchased our Christmas tree in the morning - $65 for a 6 foot tree from memory - before Nicole and I headed into ther city for our annual Christmas shopping trip. Just like normal, Nicole is organised and has three quarters of her presents purchased already while I'm just starting to think of who I need to buy for. And, also pretty typically, I end up buying more for myself than others. ;)
The bottom right is a photo of an art print I bought at the design market in QV. I used my shopping list to back the round coaster, stamping the date onto a wood veneer piece from Studio Calico. The 'merry everything' vellum piece, on the tree photo, was cut from a Paislee Press cut file.
I know it's January already, but I'm amazed I'm almost halfway through my December Daily already. I'm the girl who finishes in June!
Any questions, just let me know.
