Currently I am...
Recovering from an unforgettable New Year's Eve. Jenna and Darren's wedding was amazing and flower girl Milly couldn't have been more adorable or wonderfully behaved. The wedding is deserving of it's own blog post so for now I'll just paraphrase Mike, they ramped up the difficulty with the choice of location but then nailed it. Such a big weekend though, I exhausted myself and have been coughing and spluttering ever since.
Watching The Good Place and Designated Survivor on Netflix. Mike and I have just started season 2 of Designated Survivor after working our way through season 1 over a few weeks, but The Good Place has been perfect binge material while I've been sick.
Learning to use my new Fuse Tool and Minc machine, both Christmas presents from Mike.
Needing to de-Christmasify. Tree is still up, decorations still out, presents not away.
Wanting to sort and purge and organise pretty much the whole house. There is stuff everywhere at the moment, largely because it has no actually place to go. First on my list, my scrapbooking room/office.
Looking forward to having nothing significant planned for the next couple months. Post-Hens party, post-wedding, post-feeling lousy, we're just wanting to relax for a while.
Considering a nice, simple weekend away at the beach next month.
Sifting through a new order of scrapbooking supplies. I took advantage of the big sale at Studio Calico recently and bought a bunch of things that I don't actually need. I'm not subscribed to any scrapbooking kits at the moment, not even any from Ali Edwards, and it's nice to have some new supplies and pretty things to play with.
Appreciating the Christmas cards I received from overseas friends. Not counting the numerous cards from real estate agents and the odd politician, they were the only cards we received in the mail this year. Mind you I didn't manage to send any Christmas cards myself, but keep an eye on the mailbox for a New Year's card coming your way.
Committing to being more organised next Christmas.
Intending to be a better blogger in 2018. This blog is my way of recording stories and photos and I did so little of that last year.
Enjoying working on my December Daily album. Days 2-8 are complete, with only journaling missing from Days 1 and 9. Sitting down and writing out the stories are my next task so, even if the pages take me a while to complete, the details wont be forgotten.
Anticipating snuggles with the brand new baby daughter of good friends of ours. Mike has been to visit but I'm having to steer clear till I'm not so germ-infested.
