Sorry fans of the yellow - it's not staying. At least not on every single wall of my house! :)

These colours are under consideration for the dining room. With two archways and a sliding door, I think the room can handle a bold colour. I hope.

Last night I was all ready to post my daily photo but my internet didn't want to cooperate. Thankfully, it likes me again now. :)

I love the light playing on the end of the table in this photo. And the mess in my scrapbook room definitely looks better in sepia tones. :)

I didn't get home and pick up my camera until after dark today and was struggling for an idea. This drawer makes me laugh - my DVDs (and CDs) have been alphabetised. My Mum's handwork while unpacking. :)

A Month at Home: Day 3 & 4

I didn't get a chance to post my A Month at Home photo yesterday but, given it was crazy/exhausting moving day, I'm sure you'll forgive me. :)

Day 3: My new kitchen, complete with boxes. There were SO many boxes. Still are.

In case you think I am insanely organised enough to have bought flowers the day after I moved (definitely not!), Mum and Dad arrived with them this afternoon. I moved a few boxes and bits'n'pieces out of the way (not put away, just moved) to take this photo.

A Month at Home: Day 2

Welcome to Yellow House!

After picking the keys up at 5pm today, unlocking my front door for the first time. (It took me a while to find the right key!)

A Month at Home: Day 1

Today is the first of February and so begins my month-long photography project, A Month at Home. 

Every day this month I aim to take a photo of some aspect my home - a detail, texture, perspective, object, anything that I can turn into a (hopefully) interesting photo. 

The timing is perfect - as of tomorrow I am the official owner of Yellow House and am moving in the day after. Home is going to be a big theme for me this month!

Yesterday I walked into my bedroom and was struck by how stark it seemed. Bare surfaces, nothing on the walls, a minimum of pillows. Absolutely pared down in preparation for moving.  This will be the only photo of my current (about to be old) unit to feature in A Month at Home. That makes me a little bit sad, but I'm mainly excited.
